Use our map and directory of the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) to locate buildings, units and amenities within the hospital.
Always check the location of clinics, wards and units before starting your journey.
Services run across the hospital can be subject to change.
Volunteers are available during the day to help you navigate around the hospital. Look out for volunteers, dressed in bright purple shirts, at the following locations:
- Level 3 (ground floor) near the lifts
- at the information centre and reception at the main entrance
- on selected floors.
On arrival
Make your way to Level 3 (ground level) before navigating to your final destination.
checkViewport(), 100)"> Wayfinding kiosks
Wayfinding kiosks are located at the main entrance on Level 3, eastern plaza entrance and most public car park lift lobbies.
The interactive touchscreen allows visitors to find maps, specific directions and signage.
Visitors can then print the directions to take with them.
checkViewport(), 100)"> Finding your way around the hospital
All areas of the RAH are assigned a Level (number) and Section (letter).
The location for your visit should always be assigned a Level (number) and a Section (letter). If you are going in a lift, always go to Level 3 (ground level) first.
Each Section (letter) has been assigned its own colour and theme, and is serviced by a dedicated lift. Use the Section lift to go to the Level you require.
Example
You are visiting general surgery, 5F. This means you need to go to Level 5 in Section F. To get here, you would:
- Go to Level 3 (ground floor) first, as your starting point.
- Go to Section F (green) dedicated lift on Level 3 (ground floor).
- Take the lift to Level 5.
- When you arrive at Level 5, you will see that signs on the walls indicate you are at 5F.
- Follow signage to your destination.
If you need help, find one of our friendly volunteers who will be happy to show you the way.
checkViewport(), 100)"> Explaining sections, colours and themes
