In an emergency, always call triple zero (000)

You should call triple zero (000) if a person experiences:

  • chest pain or tightness
  • difficulty breathing
  • sudden collapse or an unexplained fall
  • fits or seizures
  • uncontrollable bleeding
  • serious burns
  • unconsciousness
  • a fall from a great height
  • injury from a motor vehicle accident
  • serious assault
  • fits, allergic reactions or ongoing fever in infants, the elderly or vulnerable persons.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an emergency department.

All public hospital emergency departments in metropolitan Adelaide are available 24 hours a day, 7 days.
