This service is the main point of access to state funded mental health services and can provide advice and information in a mental health emergency or crisis.
It is staffed by mental health clinicians who will assess and refer to acute response teams where appropriate.

The Urgent Mental Health Care Centre (UMHCC), located on Grenfell Street in the Adelaide CBD, is a free service for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis.
UMHCC is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and takes walk-ins or referrals from emergency services, GPs or any referring body.
UMHCC provides short term support in a calm space to help with urgent mental health needs.
This service is for anyone:
- aged over 16
- living in Adelaide
- experiencing a mental health crisis
- willing to attend the UMHCC.
