Services & Clinics

We have offices at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and collaborate with public and private cancer services throughout South Australia, with outreach support in the Northern Territory.

What we do

The Youth Cancer Service is for adolescents and young adults aged 15-25 years who have been diagnosed with cancer. Our multidisciplinary team (medical, nursing and allied health specialists) is available to help patients and their families.

The Youth Cancer Service aims to help identify and meet individual needs by offering support, including:

  • access to clinical trials to improve survival outcomes
  • access to physical therapy and psychosocial support
  • cancer-related education for family, friends, schools and workplaces
  • facilitate access to services that can assist with work and study goals
  • information about fertility and sexuality
  • information about financial options and other support available
  • medical expertise in cancers found in young people
  • referral to other services
  • resources such as internet sites and booklets
  • specialist nursing support with expertise in adolescent and young adult cancer needs.

End of Treatment

Our survivorship clinic assists young people after completing cancer treatment by providing tailored care plans, appropriate information, resources, and support to aid their recovery. This treatment may include facilitating access to specialist allied health services and promoting engagement with a primary general practitioner or relevant services in the community.
