​We care for patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal system and liver including:

  • bowel cancer screening
  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • liver disease
  • gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • GI motility
  • Coeliac disease
  • pancreatic and hepatobiliary diseases.

Gastroenterology has close functional links with the surgical gastroenterology, offering comprehensive services to patients. Surgical units include: 

  • upper gastrointestinal surgery (LINK WHEN LIVE)
  • colorectal surgery (LINK WHEN LIVE)
  • pancreato-biliary surgery (LINK WHEN LIVE)

Once referred, we will contact you within clinically recommended times, depending on the waiting list length. If there is no waiting list, you will receive an appointment booking letter, or we will contact you to arrange a suitable time.
